Hello, we are a new organization that is devoted to (hopefully) preserving an Airbus A300 for museum purposes in the future. Please stop by our website and sign the Log Book. Currently we are in talks with Saudia to donate one of their stored A300s for this project.

Please let us know if you would be interested in restoring an A300-we really could use all the help we can get!

I think it would be nice to save the A300 for museum display, it should be easy if you got enough money.

Donating is the easy part. Who is going to pay for the upkeep?.... What makes the A300 special and worth saving?

I volunteered out at a railway museum doing restoration work, and it ain't cheap to house artifacts... The cost to house an 80' railcar runs close to $25,000 just for the track it will sit on... and that doesn't include any protective covering or restoration. At least railcars are somewhat portable. An A300 is going to require a couple acres adjacent to an airport for perpetuity.
