Tim, I have followed your posts for many years now and agree with just about everything that you have to say. You have attempted to stand up against the IAM and their pathetic leadership from day one. I hope that you can get into position to make some long overdue changes.
Thanks for the kind words wings396. But as much as myself and others tried to tell the members how the 1113 letters were frauds and had no teeth to keep a company coming back, the leadership shoved it down. And as much as I was made the bad guy when I rose up against the IAM Pension plan telling everyone that the defined benefit really wasn't defined because it wasn't even guaranteed, the leadership shoved it down. Thankfully, Canale got voted out but I started seeing the cancer spread again as Delaney repeated the terrific acts when he signed the Hawaiian agreement, lost the Aloha workers, and signed his name to destructive agreements at United and now at US AIRWAYS. The only way it will stop is by having someone who realizes it's all about the masses and the power is with them. Therefore, I owe it to myself and to the masses to do this. It won't be fun, it will be sacrifice. Just like when I led the organizing department, I was gone almost always from home but that's how you have to work in these sorta jobs. But they are incredibly rewarding when you deliver and make people's lives better for them and their families.

I am speaking as an IAM member to IAM members and am not necessarily a US AIRWAYS employee

In USAir mainline cities, when it comes time to set up the gate for the flight, who does it? Is it the lead, the agents, or both?

In my station the leads have to set up the gates for all of the flights. While the agents are in the breakrooms watching tv. They don't have to come out until the plane is coming to the gate. Another hp rule.

It's the easiest way to go from parttime to fulltime.
